Surrendering the Past for a Glorious Future
Isaiah 43: 18-19; Philippians 3:12-14; John 11:14,17,20-21,32,38-44
The Lord is inviting us to surrender our past because:
- Those who dwell on revision instead of vision miss out on God’s promised future.
- Being bound by our past hinders us from moving forward with energy and determination.
- Fear of past failures paralyzes us, preventing us from pursuing great possibilities.
- Clinging to the past restricts us from fully embracing the potential of the future.
- Our negative memories have the power to immobilize us and hinder our progress.
- Those who are trapped by their past accomplishments may question their ability to achieve more.
- Our last success can become one of the greatest obstacles to our continued growth and advancement.
“You must move past your past to enter into your future”
P1. Surrendering the Past
Philippians 3:12-14; 2 Corinthians 5:17-18; John 11:20-21,32,39-40

With faith in God we can move past the past:
- guilty conscience

- unfulfilled longings
- the wounds of bullying
- shattered dreams and shaken faith
- financial disaster
- stagnant career
P2. Embracing His Promises
Isaiah 43: 18-19; 42:9,16; John 11:25-26; Isaiah 61:2-4
God has the power to exchange your ashes for beauty as He fulfills His life-changing promises. God is able to turn your:
- Poverty to Plenty ( Joseph)
- Ruin to Recovery (Job)
- Obscurity to Ovation (David)
- Mayhem to Melody (Paul)
